This is an art house with the owner being an artist and creator of ‘Cecily’ a NZ iconic cartoon character who has a website https://www.cecily.co.nz

The colourful kitchen is inspired by Mondrian and famous NZ artists deck the walls.  Please enjoy but also take special care not to damage any artwork.  The home has an eclectic library and a vinyl collection to browse and please return to the same location.

Breathtaking views of the harbour are with you all day long from all areas of the architecturally designed home which has appeared in many books on remarkable homes.

Buses: Regular buses into the city, No. 8, closest stop Oxford St outside the school

Ferry: Diamond Harbour ferry makes regular trips across the harbour

Walks: Short walk to the Timeball (6mins one way)

Urumau… up from Gilmour Tce (1- 2 hours depending on fitness)

Bridle Path and Stan Helms from west side of town

Swimming: Norman Kirk Memorial Baths = outdoor pool beside the school on Oxford St

Corsair Bay or Childrens Bay in the harbour
